Since 2019, Henry Equestrian, powered by NFP, has proudly partnered with the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair to sponsor the prestigious Canadian Show Jumping Championship. For the past five years, this sponsorship has been a key part of our commitment to supporting the equestrian and agricultural communities.
This year’s fair takes place November 1-10, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario. Meghan Mackenzie Bell, assistant vice president of Sales and Business Development at Henry Equestrian, highlighted the importance of this relationship and how it reflects Henry Equestrian and NFP’s deep connection with the industries they serve.
Excellence in equestrian sports
"Our partnership with the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is about more than just sponsorship," explains Meghan.
"It's about recognizing the hard work and dedication of Canadian equestrian professionals throughout the year. By sponsoring the Canadian Show Jumping Championships, we're celebrating the culmination of their efforts and supporting the sport from the grassroots level all the way to the top."
In addition to the equestrian side, Henry Equestrian’s involvement in the fair extends to the agricultural community, reflecting the company's broad expertise and commitment to farmers.
Our agricultural community
"We’re not just experts in equine insurance but also in the agricultural sector," said Meghan. "We live and breathe these industries, and we want to be a resource for farmers, horse owners and equestrian professionals. Sometimes, people in rural communities end up dealing with insurance providers who don’t understand their unique needs. At NFP we do understand because we’re part of these communities."
Henry Equestrian’s participation in the fair is about more than showcasing insurance services. It’s about giving back to the community and making the event more accessible and fun for those involved.
"We want to thank the people who make these events possible, whether it’s by sponsoring prize money or simply providing a breakfast," says Meghan. This year, NFP’s agriculture team is hosting a special breakfast for junior beef exhibitors, many of whom represent the next generation of farmers. They’re also organizing a welcome event for dairy farmers, some of whom travel from across Canada and even the US to participate in the fair.
Connecting with clients and partners
Henry Equestrian’s presence at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair also includes opportunities to connect with clients and partners face-to-face.
"We’ll have a booth at the show where we can chat with clients and the public about how we can help, whether it’s with equine insurance, liability, truck and trailer, farm, home or auto insurance," says Meghan.
The event also offers a unique opportunity to introduce key partners from the insurance industry to the world of equestrian sports. "Bringing our partners to the Royal helps them better understand the clients they’re insuring, and it’s always fun to introduce new people to equestrian events."
For Henry Equestrian, powered by NFP, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is an opportunity to connect with the communities they serve, celebrate hard work and offer support in meaningful ways.
