Rugby Canada and NFP

Empowering self-esteem, leadership and teamwork.

NFP is the Official Insurance Partner of Rugby Canada and the official team partner of the Women’s 15s Senior Program. NFP is featured at all Rugby Canada Women’s 15s competitions, with the NFP logo on the front of the team jersey, as well as through the team’s training kit, when they compete in the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand this October and November 2022.

The centrepiece of this multiyear signature partnership is our collaboration on a program to provide girls across Canada with opportunities to get involved in the sport and engage with Rugby Canada teams. The program will introduce rugby to more girls in the 13-16 age range who have a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, empowering self-esteem, leadership and teamwork in young people.

With accolades that include serving as the Captain of the 2018 Ryder Cup team, winning the 2016 Payne Stewart Award and being named the 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year, Jim Furyk is no stranger to success on the golf course. His professional golf career has made him a household name among those who follow and play the sport. His dedication and passion have also fuelled his ability to help those in need.

Since 2010, Jim and his wife, Tabitha, have successfully led a foundation to provide support to families and children facing a variety of challenges. The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation, based in the Jacksonville area, focuses on making communities throughout North Florida healthier and stronger. Jim’s desire to use his success to help others aligns with NFP’s goal of serving clients and bringing positive change to communities.

As an Official Partner of Austin FC, we’re elevating our involvement in the Austin community, a city that has been an NFP home for more than two decades. By aligning our shared values, passion and impact, we’re collaborating on initiatives that bring people together to improve our Austin community.

Following the club’s inaugural MLS season in 2021, momentum and engagement are high. In addition to NFP branding on the Austin FC website and in Q2 Stadium, NFP is the presenting sponsor of the “Employee of the Match,” which recognizes Austin FC team members off the pitch whose efforts create an exceptional experience for supporters. NFP is also exploring opportunities to engage with the community through the 4ATX Foundation. Great teams really do wear green.

Our multi-year partnership with Darren Clark advances our focus on collaborations that enhance communities. Darren is a proven winner – three PGA Tour wins, 14 European Tour victories, three PGA Tour Champions titles, and a major championship victory at the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George's Golf Club – and a fan favourite, making him a great representative for our growing, global company.

In building a sponsorship program that reflects our values, partners like Darren help us increase our impact in key areas. Beyond our connection to Darren on the course, we’ll be exploring opportunities through the Darren Clarke Foundation, which brings the game of golf to young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play.
