Attracting and retaining talent isn’t a new issue for the property and casualty industry, but NFP Canada President John Haas recently told Canadian Underwriter he believes that issue will continue to be top of mind as the calendar turns to 2023.
To combat many industry veterans leaving the industry, Hass suggests:
- Further advancing the promotion of insurance as a career in high school and at colleges and universities.
- Employers creating internal training and mentorship programs
