John Haas is the president of NFP in Canada. He oversees all strategic and operational aspects of NFP’s Canadian business, collaborating closely with the leadership team to elevate our value to our clients while championing NFP’s people-first culture across our communities.

John has over 30 years of experience working successfully with global clients to deliver strategies for managing complex risks. He was previously executive vice-president of Canadian corporate risk, broker leader and North American natural resources leader for Willis Towers Watson. Before working with Willis, John served as a managing principal with Integro Insurance Brokers, managing director with Marsh Canada and executive risk underwriter with Chubb Insurance Company of Canada.

Julian Bugeja

Private Client Group, Ontario

Julian Bugeja is NFP’s senior vice-president of our Private Client Group operation in Canada. He sets the pace for the concierge care inherent to our Private Client Group, advising and assisting clients in tailoring their discrete insurance needs. His mission is to help clients find the right policy with the most suitable coverage to suit their situation.

Julian was formerly SVP of Operations in Canada. He has helped plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee NFP’s operations, ensuring cost-effective development and implementation while we established the strategic direction of NFP’s Operations division. 

Daryn McLean

Property and Casualty

Daryn McLean joined NFP’s executive leadership in Canada following the acquisition of Mclean Hallmark Insurance Group Ltd in 2019. As managing director of Strategic Growth, his focus is on mergers & acquisitions, client development and talent acquisition.

Before joining the NFP family, Daryn was president and CEO of McLean Hallmark, where he was engaged in all aspects of the company’s corporate strategy.

Daryn served as a Board member of The Toronto Insurance Council (TIC) for a number of years and was instrumental as Chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF Ride) Insurance Challenge, helping to get this charitable event off the ground within the Insurance Industry. He is also actively involved in local GTA hockey organizations and is a member of CEO Global Network. 

Greg Padovani

Head of M&A

Greg Padovani currently holds the role of Strategic Growth Advisor with NFP in Canada. Prior to this role, he held the position of President, NFP Canada.

As a Strategic Growth Advisor, Greg is responsible for helping leaders create a more predictable, scalable revenue growth. Additionally, he helps build more trust, credibility and is NFP’s trusted authority in the insurance industry. He also helps build and hire the right team members to sustain long-term growth.

His role also enables him to research and assess NFP’s performance to determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Greg is a graduate of McMaster University where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also holds his RIBO and CAIB (Honours) Designation.
